This article describes how the screening of customers, vendors, and contacts in collana shield can be configured via job queue entries, executed manually, scheduled, and restricted using filters.
Default job queue entries
When collana shield is installed, three job queue entries are created automatically:
- Screen all customers
- Screen all vendors
- Screen all contacts
These job queue entries are intended to screen all existing records of the respective entity type.
Manually executing a job queue entry
Manual execution is useful, for example, for testing purposes or for an initial one-time screening of all data in the system.
- In Business Central, navigate to the collana shield Settings.
- Go to the Job Queue Entry List.
- Select the job queue entry you want to execute.
- In the menu bar, select Run once (foreground).
The job queue entry is executed once. During execution, all entities of the selected type that do not have a valid screening are checked.
Configuring automatic execution of job queue entries
To perform recurring screenings on a scheduled basis, job queue entries can be configured with a schedule.
- Open the collana shield Settings.
- Navigate to the Job Queue Entry List.
- Select the desired job queue entry.
- Select Edit to open the job queue entry card.
- Define the next run time and the required recurrence pattern.
- Ensure that the status is set to Ready.
Restricting job queue entries using filters
Filters allow you to limit the data scope processed by a job queue entry. This makes it possible to screen specific records in a targeted way.
Selecting a job queue entry
- Navigate to the collana shield Settings.
- Open the Job Queue Entry List.
- Select the job queue entry for which you want to define filters.
Alternatively, additional job queue entries can be created in the Custom Job Queue Entry List to represent different filter combinations.
Defining filters
- Select the required job queue entry.
- Select Filter job.
- Adjust the description of the job queue entry if required.
- In the Filter section, define the desired restrictions, for example by country/region code.
- Confirm your entries with OK.
Multiple values per filter can be defined using the Either-Or operator ( | ).
To exclude specific records from screening, the Not equal operator ( <> ) can be used.
Filters can be removed again via the menu of the Job Queue Entry List using Clear job filter.
Execution with active filters
When a filtered job queue entry is executed, only the records that meet the defined filter criteria are screened. This allows screenings to be controlled precisely and limited to relevant data sets.
Summary
Job queue entries in collana shield provide flexible options for performing screenings. Through manual execution, scheduling, and the use of filters, screenings can be tailored precisely to individual requirements.
