This article describes the configuration options of collana shield in Business Central. After the initial setup, this area is used to define central settings for checks, blocking logic, notifications, and job queue entries.

Navigation to collana shield Setup

  1. Open the search function in Business Central.
  2. Search for collana shield Settings.
  3. Open the page to perform further configuration.

General Settings

  • Using the Active toggle, collana shield can be enabled or disabled globally.
  • The Validity Period field defines how long a check result is considered valid.
After this period expires, the last check result is still displayed on the entity but is no longer valid. Depending on the configuration, this may trigger a new check.
  • The Send summary email option enables the automatic sending of notification emails containing the results of checks executed via job queue entries.
Further information on the setup can be found in this article.

Subscription Information

In the Subscription Info section, the following details are available:

  • Display of the current subscription status, for example a licensed version of collana shield or a demo version
  • The Transactions this Month field, showing the accumulated number of transactions
  • Access to the Terms of Use via the corresponding link

Blocking Options

  • Block Companies
When this option is enabled, entire companies are blocked as soon as a related entity is blocked due to a match. This affects all company members associated with that company.
  • Block on Possible Matches
Enables blocking of entities already for possible matches, not only for confirmed matches.
  • Skip Customer/Vendor Verification
When checking sales orders or purchase orders, the related customer or vendor is not automatically verified. Only the document addresses are checked.
  • Block business relations on match
Enables the verification of all related contacts when checking a customer or vendor.

Check Options

In the Verify Options section, you can control how checks are triggered during daily operations:

  • Option to automatically check addresses on sales orders and purchase orders when they are released. The sales address, billing address, and shipping address are checked respectively.

Log Retain date

  • The Log entry retain date defines how long logs of previous checks are retained.
  • Entries older than this period can be deleted automatically via a job queue entry.

Sanction Lists

In the Sanction Lists section, all available sanction lists are displayed:

  • Display of all currently available sanction lists
  • Option to deactivate individual sanction lists
  • Display of the URL of the respective sanction list source

Job Queue Entry List

In the Job Queue Entry List section, all job queue entries that are created during the installation of collana shield are displayed:

  • Three job queue entries for checking all existing:
    • Customers
    • Vendors
    • Contacts
  • One job queue entry for updating all available sanction lists.
The sanction lists are provided daily by collana shield. This job should therefore be executed daily to ensure up-to-date sanction data.
  • One job queue entry for cleaning up log data.
This job deletes all logs that are older than the period defined in the Log Data Retention Period.

Custom Job Queue Entry List

In the Custom Job Queue Entry List section, you can:

  • create additional job queue entries
  • define individual filters for these job queue entries

This allows checks to be restricted to specific data sets and extended flexibly.

Summary

The collana shield Settings serves as the central configuration area for all check, blocking, and automation functions. By combining global settings, job queue entries, and individual filters, collana shield can be precisely adapted to the requirements of the respective system.
